Share your bike: a ready-made image of your build

A bike page is nice to link to, but on Instagram, in a WhatsApp group or in a Strava post you want a picture. So every public bike now comes with a ready-made image of the build: your photo with its distance and key components, sized for wherever you post it.

The Share tab

Open a public bike page and pick the Share tab. You get a live preview and a few choices:

  • Format: Post (4:5) for an Instagram feed post, Story (9:16) for stories, Square (1:1) for a profile grid or WhatsApp, and Wide (1.91:1) for X, Facebook and Strava posts

  • Photo: pick which of the bike's photos to use

  • Crop: Fill, or Fit whole photo, with the focus at the top, centre or bottom

  • Text size: S, M or L

  • Show on image: turn distance and stats, key components, the model, your username or the certified badge off to give the photo more room

Then Share image sends it straight to an app from your phone's share sheet, Download saves it, and Copy page link gives you the link for a story sticker or your bio, so people can see the full build. The image updates when your bike changes: distance, components and photos.

Where to find it

  • In the app: open a bike and go to Sharing, which now sits in the tab row. The Share image card takes you to the Share tab with Make and share the image. The image is made from the bike's public page, so publish the bike first

  • On your public profile, every bike card has a Share button that opens the Share tab

  • Visitors can make the image of a bike they like too. It always shows your username, so the credit stays with you

Better link previews

Paste a link to a public bike in WhatsApp, Slack, X or Facebook and the preview now shows the wide share image (photo and build) instead of just the photo. The same image is the last slide on the bike page, and a bike without photos shows it instead of the line drawing.

Smaller things

  • The public bike page now shows the bike's activity count, average distance, moving time and last activity date in every case. Before, some pages showed 0 activities

  • On phones, the public bike page's tabs fit on one row and the bike's actions sit above the photo

Made an image of your bike? I'd love to see where it ends up.
